Whole Wheat Banana bread : Our stay at home favorite healthy recipe

I have always been a fan of banana bread and love it with my morning coffee or love it warmed up with some ice-cream as my midnight snack.

Whenever we bake at home, we always try to bake a healthier version since we cannot resist eating sweet. So here is our healthy take on the banana bread, we replaced sugar with maple syrup and all purpose flour with whole wheat flour.

Ingredients ( Most of our ingredients are from trader Joes)
1 3/4 cups of Whole wheat flour
3 ripe bananas ( 1cup mashed bananas)
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup maple syrup or honey
1tsp baking soda
0.5 tsp of salt
1 tbsp vanilla syrup
Walnuts , almonds and chocolate chips as per your preference

Instructions

1. Preheat over to 340 F
2. Sieve the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl
3. Add the wet ingredients to bowl : oil , syrup , egg, milk together and mix it for a few minutes
4. Mash the bananas and add it to the mixed up wet ingredients
5. Little by little add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients , incorporating and rotating the whisker in a uniform manner
6. Once mixed well, add walnuts, almonds and the chocolate chips
7. Pour in a well buttered baking dish
8. Place in over for 55 – 60 min
9. When a knife passes through the middle of the baking dish without and sticky bits , you cake is done
10. Remove , let cool and serve
